About Hajee Mohammad Danesh
Hajee Mohammad Danesh (1900–1986) was a leading political activist in South Asia during the British colonial period. He was born in the village of Sultanpur in the Dinajpur region. He obtained his MA in History from Aligarh Muslim University in 1931 and B.L. graduation in 1932. In the 1930s, Danesh became active in the Communist Party of Bengal, particularly the Bengal Party of the Communist Party of India. He was twice arrested in 1938 by the Bengal government for his involvement in the Tebhaga movement, a riot in northern Bengal against landowners’ landowners and landowners demanding a large share of the harvest, most of which were donated to zamindars. Danesh was one of the few Communist leaders of the struggle and worked to unite Muslim farmers in support of the movement. In 1945, he joined the All India Muslim League, but was later expelled for his involvement in the ongoing Tebagha movement, and was again arrested by the Bengal government in 1946. After the Indian-Bengal division in 1947, Danesh remained in his home in the Dinajpur region, which has fallen into the predominantly Muslim Central Bengal, becoming part of the newly formed Islamic State of Pakistan. He died in Dhaka on June 28, 1986.

In the ongoing work of nation-building, HSTU strives to promote excellence in the higher education of a vibrant and inclusive society through knowledge building and dissemination. It makes sincere efforts to donate its mite by providing the right kind of staff. It strives to teach quality education to meet national and international challenges, in achieving its goal. For students, a degree represents a certificate of competence, a passport to higher education or a lucrative career, and a living and prosperity. They have an important role to play in the development of the nation and that is why they must manage their future with confidence and strength. As Vice-Chancellor, my main objectives are to produce high-quality human resources for basic research and development and to use to solve the current and long-standing problems facing our country in agriculture, animal and animal, fisheries, information technology, and related sectors.
Therefore, it is very important for me to make sure that the teaching, research, access and training activities are carried out properly in all the capacity of the university. I would also like to see that advances in learning and applied research are done at the university to produce solutions to emerging problems in various fields of agriculture and in other interrelated sectors. My focus will be on good learning that leads to (i) establishing good governance, (ii) introducing Student-Centered Learning (SCL) through an outcomes-based curriculum, (iii) improving teaching and learning and assessment strategies, (iv) enhancing physical structures, student support services, and ultimately (v) improve research, training and community services.
In today’s world, modern Information and Communication Technology play a major role in providing system delivery services and quality education. I can try to introduce various research and academic support projects, fundraising schemes, and scholarships for higher education under the University Faculty Development Program, etc. There is no compromise on the quality of education and resources provided on campus as we embrace modern technology with warm hands.
The university is free from all political conflicts so far. Therefore, there is an integrated environment for student and technical research activities at the university. The university has a highly trained capacity to provide instruction and provide ongoing guidance to students in the fields of Agriculture, Computer Science Engineering, Business Studies, Fisheries, Engineering, Veterinary and Animal Science, Science, Social Sciences and Humanities.
Our programs and services are driven by the needs of our society and the economy from a global context. As a result, many of our students worked around the world with a reputation for excellence and pride. The university, in the future, will continue to improve the quality of research, present world-class courses and adopt state-of-the-art technology and reliable fruit collaboration.
I wish all our readers/readers a bright future. I hope that after receiving an education from HSTU, our graduates will become national assets and will be able to play a vital role in accelerating the level of economic and social development in Bangladesh. Let our dreams come true. I can make the most of my energy, experience and energy to make this university a great learning chair.
