The National University Of Bangladesh is a Bangladeshi parenting university established by an Act of Parliament as a national university to transfer undergraduate and tertiary education to students through its affiliated colleges and professional institutions across the country. The third-largest university in the world according to enrollment. The headquarters are in Gazipur, on the outskirts of Dhaka.

The Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences (IHS) was launched in 1997 to offer a two-year MPhil. following a modern American credit hour program and semester program including study work, a two-month internship and a supervisor-led thesis.
